In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Switzerland showed varied performance across the top iOS apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent trend in weekly downloads, starting at 7.2K in early January and stabilizing around 4.4K by the end of March. Meanwhile, the app maintained a robust weekly active user base, beginning at 82K and peaking at 75K towards the quarter's close.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a notable increase in weekly downloads from 2.8K to approximately 3.5K throughout the quarter. Active users also rose steadily, from 14.8K to nearly 30K by the end of March.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery faced a downward trend in weekly downloads, dropping from 2.5K to around 1.6K. However, its active user numbers remained strong, fluctuating between 73K and 86K.

For Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, weekly downloads remained relatively stable, varying slightly around 600, while active users hovered around 10K throughout the quarter.

Finally, Careem – rides, food & more saw a modest increase in weekly downloads, peaking at over 700 in mid-February. Active users also showed an upward trend, reaching 3.2K by the end of March.
